Our housing market usually realizes a small seasonal dip that occurs when school starts. This year, thanks to the lowest interest rates in history, we are not expecting a slow down.
The most recent market statistics for our area show a continuing spike in home sales, and very short market times for most price ranges.
In the last 90 days the average home price in Davidson County has just topped $413,641, with an average price per square foot of $213. and average year built of 1986.
By comparison, Sumner County this year just hit an average home price of $362,920. for the first time ever. This reflects an average price of $155. Per square foot, with an average year built of 1999.
Since inventory is so low and demand is so high, I don’t anticipate a severe slowdown in our area anytime soon. Most homes now come on market priced to sell, and sell quickly.
Whether you’re a buyer – lowest interest rates in history, thank you!
Or a seller – yes, highest prices in market history!
